Who we are:

The RHCAA (Respiratory Homecare Association of Alberta) has been in existence for 30 years representing companies who are involved in front line delivery of both clinical and therapy related services in the private sector. The services include but are not limited to;

-Home oxygen

- Bilevel ventilation and non-oxygen benefits (AADL, Veterans, private ins etc.)

- Sleep diagnostics and therapy

-- Other sleep services

There are 22 companies in the membership accounting for approximately 90% of the private companies providing the above mentioned services in the province of Alberta. Collectively we employ in excess of 500 staff. This includes professional staff such as Respiratory Therapists , Polysomnography Technicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Our experience spans beyond the borders of Alberta to include every continent in the world.

It is important to note is that historically we have often been thought of as providers of respiratory equipment (home oxygen) and not recognized for the key clinical role we play while delivering services to patients by well trained and experienced healthcare professionals.

Our activities are committed to promoting the value of the services we provide, furthering awareness and understanding of "who we are", "what we do", and "who we help", to Albertans, government, Alberta Health Services and other healthcare agencies. And assisting Albertans to live healthier lives. We advocate adherence to professional regulatory body requirements.
